Main dishes
Zhizhig-Galnash
- Boiled meat (lamb or beef) with dumplings made of corn or wheat flour
- Served with garlic sauce and broth
- Eaten by hand, dipping dumplings in sauce
Chapalgash
Thin flatbreads filled with cottage cheese and herbs. Fried on a dry pan and brushed with butter. Every Chechen remembers how their grandmother made chapalgash.
Khingalsh
Thin flatbreads with pumpkin — sweet-unleavened. Served with butter and often with honey.

Festive table
